lthemilkeater: Keiichiism (Keiichiism)
Woo, so excited! I've started something, I really have~

So, on June 20th, it will be the day of Watanagashi, the fictional Cotton Drifting Festival from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. I've practically been waiting for this day to come for a year, ever since realizing what day it's held on (the third Sunday of June). It'll be great! In a way, it'll be like our Hetalia gatherings, but it'll be even greater, I hope.

Our gathering is not just simply a cosplay gathering, but a gathering essentially celebrates such an important holiday in Higurashi. We'll hopefully have plenty of activities that are genuine to Higurashi like Punishment Games, where the losers of games get punished in some way by the winners. An example is making them wear cat ears and speak like they're a servant.

We seem to have a solid number of Higurashi fans planning to attend so far. I've decided to hold it at Northacres Park in North Seattle, which I only just realized today I pass by everyday to and from school. XD
I'm really excited, because more than Hetalia, Higurashi really holds my heart. But since, like most series that are not huge like Naruto, Bleach, and Hetalia, Higurashi has a smaller, less active fanbase, there's never really any opportunity to do anything related to it outside of a large con.

For now, I'm working on coming up with Watanagashi Festivities and such. I hope this will all work out well...!

Le défile des baisers

Welcome to my humble corner. I am a simple 17-year-old boy who loves to ramble on about writing and fandom. I hope we will be able to get along well.
